Welcome to La Maestra

La Maestra Community Health Centers (LMCHC) is true to its name, meaning "The Teacher" in Spanish.

La Maestra has always been dedicated to providing quality health care and education to improve the overall well being of the family, bringing the under-served, ethnically diverse communities into the mainstream of our society, through a caring, effective, culturally and linguistically competent manner, and respecting the dignity of all patients.

The main location is in City Heights, where more than 60 countries and 30 different languages are represented among the population. Immigrants, refugees and native born residents all reside in and around this area, most of who are among those in the lowest income level.

Over the past 20 years, La Maestra has become the medical home to more than 113,000 men, women and children. Regardless of economic status, La Maestra is committed to improving the well being of these people and will continue to do so for many years.
